The Swedish table tennis star eliminated Japanese Yukija Uda in three straight sets – 11–7, 11–3, 12–10.
In the next round, the winner of the match between Quadri Aruna, Nigeria and German Benedikt Duda awaits.
Möregårdh is the only Swede participating in the tournament.
