Hammarby’s 17-year-old talent Fanny Peterson to undergo knee surgery after ligament tear

With only two rounds left in the women's Swedish league, Hammarby has announced that 17-year-old talent Fanny Peterson has suffered a knee injury and will undergo surgery.

It was during this weekend's match against Uppsala, which Hammarby won 7-0, that Peterson injured himself and was forced to leave the game.

"After an MRI scan, Hammarby's medical team was able to determine that the cruciate ligament in one knee is unfortunately torn," the club writes on its website.
