The difference between the parties is now only 0.7 percentage points, according to Indikator Opinion’s October survey, Sveriges Radio reports. The Moderates (M) are at 26.3 percent, compared with 27.0 percent for the Social Democrats (S). The Moderates have thus gained 6.5 percentage points compared with the election result.
The increase is explained by the Moderates gaining voters from all sides, both from the Tidö parties and from the Social Democrats and Centre Party (C).
At the same time, the Tidö parties would not have a parliamentary majority, as the Liberals (L) fall below the parliamentary threshold with 3.8 percent. The Christian Democrats (KD) and Sweden Democrats (SD) also fall back, to 4.8 and 16.3 percent, respectively. The declines for the Liberals and Christian Democrats are statistically significant.
Apart from the Moderates, the Green Party is the only party to make gains compared with the election result, polling at 7.3 percent.
