The new electric car will be launched with a price tag of around 50,000 euro (over half a million kronor). Production is set to start as early as next week and the first specimens are expected to hit the roads this summer, according to plan.
There is no Chinese car with the same range in this segment, says Mercedes' technical chief Markus Schäfer.
It will also be made in a hybrid version.
