In just a few weeks, the Liberals have risen from 1.9 percent to 5.8 percent in the survey series. The change since the last survey is statistically significant. The survey was conducted by Novus, which interviewed 2,292 people during the period 6-8 September 2026.
It is also the first time this term that the party is statistically certain to be above the four percent threshold, GP and TV4 write. According to Novus, the party is winning voters primarily from the Sweden Democrats, but also from the Moderates.
Even if the Liberals were to get 5.8 percent, it would be internal cannibalism, says Jonas Hinnfors, professor emeritus of political science at the University of Gothenburg, to the newspaper.
The increase for the Liberals is the only statistically reliable figure in the survey.
