Liberal Party leader Simona Mohamsson thinks Andersson should be given another chance: "You can't celebrate with cake and then not do the job."
Mohamsson says the Liberals will never have Andersson as their prime ministerial candidate.
"The faster the red-greens realize they can't get this together, the sooner we can save Sweden from a left turn. My prime minister is Ulf Kristersson. That applies regardless of whether the weeks go by in parliament or Sweden holds a snap election."
Sweden Democrats group leader Matheus Enholm says in the Riksdag (the Swedish parliament) chamber that it was clear even before the election that Andersson lacked a concrete alternative.
Now we are here, in the middle of the storm, in the middle of chaos. It is obvious that the Social Democrats, led by Magdalena Andersson, completely lack a plan to navigate their way out of the deadlocked parliamentary situation in which we now find ourselves.
KD's Ebba Busch takes a more conciliatory tone on social media. Her party is voting yes to the prime ministerial candidate whose parliamentary base they themselves are part of, she writes on X.
Such a government needs to carry forward the Tidö Agreement's reforms and pursue a policy of growth, security and stronger welfare.
"We are ready to shoulder the responsibility," Busch writes.
