Now a strike breaks out in Finnish food stores. The Service Union Pam has announced industrial action in the trade sector, which begins on Monday.
About 70,000 employees are affected and 3,000 workplaces are covered by the strike, writes Hufvudstadsbladet.
On Monday, the industrial action begins within trade logistics and on Wednesday, the strike in food stores starts. Both the logistics strike and the store employees' strike will last for three days, writes Yle.
The background to the strike is that the union and the employer side, among other things, have not been able to agree on wage negotiations.
"We are still too far from a compromise and the national mediator has not presented a solution proposal", says Pam's chairman Annika Rönni-Sallinen in a comment.
