If you genuinely think that climate is an important issue, and don't want to see a socialist prime minister and finance minister, then you should vote for Simona.
She has fought for this, and I have fought back, says Åkesson during Sveriges Radio's party leadership debate when climate is being discussed.
Jimmie Åkesson has previously said that voting for the Liberals is a wasted vote if the party does not reach 3.5 percent in the opinion polls, with ten days left until the election.
Accusations of defamation
That deadline expired on Thursday. By then, the Liberals had climbed to around 3 percent in some polls, and Jimmie Åkesson has since toned down his ultimatum somewhat. The Moderates have also begun urging “bourgeois-minded voters” to vote for the Liberals instead of the Center Party. Moderate Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer devoted a press conference on Friday to promoting this.
Mohamsson has said several times that the Liberals are needed for Tidö to continue governing. If the party leaves, it will be very difficult for the other Tidö parties to form a government.
During the debate, the Tidö side accuses Magdalena Andersson of slandering both the Swedish economy and climate policy.
The Social Democrats are so eager to speak ill of the Swedish economy, says Prime Minister and Moderate Party leader Ulf Kristersson, later returning to describe it as "a rumor."

“Lost years”
Andersson and Center Party leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist claim that the Tidö government's climate policy, including through action in the EU, has worsened the conditions for Swedish green industry.
Sweden is best in class when it comes to climate policy and emissions levels in the EU, the Moderate leader claims.
"Sometimes I have the feeling that you want things to go badly, so you can complain," he says.
The Green Party's spokesperson Daniel Helldén calls the years with the Tidö parties "four lost years" for the climate.
The best climate policy is to ensure that the Tidö parties do not remain in power, he says.
