Most of us have heard of Kimchi, the fermented Korean dish that went from being fairly unknown in Sweden, to suddenly appearing in every supermarket and home. But the Korean cuisine has so much more to offer. Here are some Korean dishes, side dishes and sauces you need to try:

Bibimbap

Maybe the most famous Korean dish, Bibimbap, consists of rice topped with fresh vegetables, marinated meat, fried egg and gochujang - a Korean chili paste.

Bulgogi

Another well-known dish is Bulgogi. Thinly sliced meat is marinated in a flavourful sauce, and thereafter barbequed to add a smoky flavor. This dish can be eaten with rice or even in a wrap or taco for a fusion take on the traditional dish.

Gochujang

Gouchjang is a fermented chili paste with a unique flavor profile. You can use it to add spice and flavor in sauces, marinades, soups and stews.

Kimchi

This list would not be complete without Kimchi. Kimchi is a Korean side-dish that can be compared to Swedish surkål. It is a fermented dish that can be made from a variety of ingredients, but most traditionally napa cabbage, chili, fish sauce and garlic.
