More than 300 people have been forced to evacuate after severe flooding in Telemark in southern Norway. Tourists visiting the area are being urged to go home.

On Monday, the Bøelva river overflowed, causing a bridge to collapse. Another bridge was closed to traffic. A campsite in the area was flooded and guests had to evacuate.

According to Norway's Meteorological Institute, 80 millimeters of rain fell in the area on Monday and more rain may come. The police are investigating the risk of landslides.

No people have been reported injured.
