Wiklund Lång explains that various municipal actors, such as social services, school and the municipality's field assistants, have gathered on Saturday morning to make a decision about a way forward.
First and foremost, the school must prepare for the fact that it may be that there are students who have been exposed or know someone who has been, maybe even the perpetrator. We do not know that right now, she says.
The municipality's task, according to Wiklund Lång, is to work together with the police to create security - above all around the center, where the shooting took place.
She also emphasizes the importance of preventive work to prevent children and young people from being drawn into, or becoming victims of, crime.
In the uncertainty, it is easy to try to find scapegoats. Our society cannot afford that, we need to gather and do what we can, where we are, she says.
The shooting took place during the night towards Saturday on a street in central Gävle. Six people were taken to hospital for care, of which two have been discharged from the hospital. Among the injured are people under the age of 18.
A 13-year-old boy has been arrested, suspected of attempted murder and serious weapons crime. The police are tight-lipped about possible motives.
