The Swedish Football Association chose to take a different approach during the men's gathering. For one day, the lights in the meeting room at the players' hotel were turned off and a special video began to play.
There were clips from the players' families, where loved ones gave greetings and support ahead of the hunt for tickets to the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer.
"The video came out of nowhere," says Taha Ali.
"It was a great message and you are reminded of how hard your parents worked to come to this country and give their children the best possible conditions."
“Tears immediately”
Herman Johansson:
"(Anthony) Elanga's clip was probably the first one that came out and it almost brought tears to your eyes right away, because you knew what was coming. Everyone was beautiful in their own way."
The video also included humorous elements, says Daniel Svensson.
"Roony Bardghji had some friends who did... I don't really know what they did, but I think they played FIFA and scored goals with Roony. That was probably the one that stood out the most. It was fun."
The support gave a boost - and victory against Ukraine in Valencia.
Even before the final against Poland, at Strawberry Arena on Tuesday, the emotions are still there. But they have subsided a bit as families, friends and friends of friends want to show their support more verbally than in the previous match.
They want to be on site in Solna.
Since the victory against Ukraine, the players have been busy distributing their tickets.
“Lost count”
"I'll take as many as I can get. I've asked teammates, but it's going to be difficult. I think most people want their tickets," says Lucas Bergvall.
Taha Ali:
"I've actually lost count, so many people have asked about tickets."
"We get six and can buy a few more, but people were ready and bought tickets already at 1-0 against Ukraine."
Johansson:
"I didn't know how many tickets I would get, so most people bought their own tickets. I have some left over that I can give out to those who need them."
To the others on the team then?
"Uh, I think mine will go to loved ones. There are many who want to go to the game."
