16-year-old Fredrik Ericson tells the newspaper Expressen how he saw a schoolmate being attacked in the school's student hall.

He was badly stabbed in both his arm and back, he tells the newspaper.

After the attack, everyone fled in different directions, says Fredrik Ericson.

Masked

Everyone panicked. We ran out of there. We just ran for our lives.

When he discovered the injured boy, he turned around with his epa and drove the bleeding boy to the hospital in Fagersta.

According to Fredrik Ericson, the perpetrator was masked, with an old-fashioned war helmet on his head and a black balaclava pulled over the lower part of his face.

I was completely shaken. And I still don't think I've taken in exactly what happened. No, it's terrible, he tells Expressen.

A 17-year-old girl was killed and two boys were seriously injured in the school attack in Fagersta. The suspected perpetrator - a student at the school - has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

Still cordoned off

The police are continuing their work at the crime scene, the school is still cordoned off and will remain so at least through Sunday.

The technical investigation is still ongoing during the day. I don't know exactly how long, but it will take the time needed, police spokesman Stefan Larsson tells TT.

We have plenty of resources in place and we will have them for some time.

The police plan to conduct hundreds of interviews with students and teachers at the school. So far, they have conducted between 80 and 100 interviews, Stefan Larsson estimates, but he does not want to comment on what has emerged.

But the more interviews, details and time, the clearer the picture becomes. But we are far from finished.
