So far, twelve SAS flights have been canceled due to the strike - including one to Stockholm that was due to take off from Oslo at 7 a.m. today. More cancellations are expected throughout the day.
Airport operator Avinor expects major delays and cancellations in the days ahead. On Sunday, Oslo Airport Gardermoen may be completely closed to air traffic for five hours starting at 6:30 a.m.
So far, twelve air traffic controllers have been called out on strike, at Gardermoen and Bergen Airport Flesland. On Tuesday, another eight could be called out at more airports, according to the Norwegian air traffic controllers' union.
The strike broke out on Friday after mediators failed to reach a solution.
