The accident was reported at noon on Saturday. Two people were in the car. The other person, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital but was conscious.
The car has been seized and witness interviews have begun, according to police. No one is a suspect in the case.
The organisers told SVT that the competition was ended after the accident.
