Eight people, including a child, have been killed by a Russian attack on a multi-storey building in Sumy in northeastern Ukraine, the regional prosecutor's office announced according to AFP.
Ten more people were injured in the attack, which according to the authorities was targeted at a residential area.
Sunday's attack came just hours after Russia made a very extensive attack with over 200 rockets and drones against, among other places, Kyiv, Lviv, and Odessa.
This morning began with one of the largest Russian attacks on Ukraine, writes President Volodymyr Zelenskyj on X, and continues to tell about the evening's attack.
"The rescue service is on site and is doing everything to save lives. But what is still lacking – and what there is a desperate need for – is principled reactions from the outside world to this evil", he writes.
