China's export increased significantly less than expected in September, sending further signals that China's and the world's economy is weak.
The export increased by 2.4 percent compared to September last year, calculated in dollars, according to the country's customs authority. Economists had on average expected an export growth of six percent.
Imports increased simultaneously by 0.3 percent, compared to expected 0.8 percent.
The monthly trade surplus landed at 82 billion dollars.
