China's global export of electric cars increased by 9.4 percent year-on-year to 114,639 vehicles in August, according to fresh figures from the Chinese customs authority.
This means an export increase so far this year – if one combines the export during the period January-August – by 16 percent to 1.12 million electric cars.
The export from China to Europe in August increased by 32 percent to 44,226 electric cars. A large proportion of this export goes to Belgium, which received 17,339 Chinese electric cars in August – an increase of 379 percent compared to August 2023.
