China car exports hit record high as trade growth surges in June

The value of China's exports rose 27 percent in June compared with the same month last year, compared with an average forecast of plus 19 percent according to Bloomberg.

At the same time, imports rose 36 percent.

China's trade surplus with the rest of the world increased to $125.6 billion, the second-highest level ever for a month.

China's car exports rose 71 percent to almost 1.1 million vehicles in June, a new record, according to the Financial Times newspaper.
