The food company Axfood gets the green light from the Competition Authority to buy the competitor City Gross.
"The decision has been made after an in-depth investigation which shows that it is not likely that the acquisition will significantly hinder competition on the Swedish daily goods market, either nationally or locally", the authority writes in a press release.
It was in June this year that Axfood, which operates the chains Hemköp and Willys, submitted an application to the Competition Authority to buy City Gross.
