Rönnells Antikvariat is a bookshop at Birger Jarlsgatan 32B in Stockholm. Visit Stockholm says it has been part of the city’s literary scene since 1929 and that its three floors hold more than 100,000 books, mainly fiction, art and academic literature. The collection includes used books, out-of-print titles and other curiosities.

Visitors can browse posters: some are displayed, while many are kept in drawers, so ask to see them. The shop also carries books from Swedish small and medium-sized publishers and a selection of magazines. Rönnells publishes books itself, irregularly, usually one or a few a year. Its website currently lists Lotta Lotass’s 32-page poem Katedral, which won the Gerard Bonniers Lyric Prize in 2026.

The shop offers help finding particular books, building a collection or sourcing books to furnish a space. Books can also be hired for photo shoots and film productions. Visit Stockholm says Rönnells regularly hosts concerts and author talks, and has sometimes auctioned private collections belonging to well-known authors. Rönnells Vänner members receive free or discounted entry to events organised by the association. The material provided does not give a general visit duration or an admission price.

Good to know

If you want to sell books, email photos or a list to pontus@ronnells.se before visiting; the shop asks sellers not to arrive with books without contacting it first.
