Långbro Värdshus is a restaurant in Älvsjö on Stockholm’s southwestern outskirts. Visit Stockholm describes it as a quiet setting for lunch, dinner or brunch, away from the city centre. It also points visitors to the 1960s architecture in nearby Fruängen.
Chef and restaurateur Fredrik Eriksson creates meals from seasonal ingredients, and the menu changes with the seasons. The venue describes spring and autumn evening menus, a winter evening menu, Swedish summer classics on the outdoor terrace and in the bar, and an annual Christmas table with classic and new dishes. Almost every Wednesday during spring and autumn, it holds the “100-lappen” tasting event, where visitors try new flavours for 100 kr (about US$10.0 or £7.70).
Parking is limited at the house. The venue recommends 12 spaces on Bergtallsvägen; drivers need a permit from inside the inn. Paid parking is available at Stora kvinns väg 11 or Glasbjörksvägen, 700 metres from the inn, and nearby Elsa Borgs Gata or Fredrika Bremers Gata.
Good to know
If driving, the venue recommends its 12 spaces on Bergtallsvägen; pick up the required permit inside. Fruängen subway is a short walk away.
