Konserthuset Stockholm is a concert hall at Hötorget, home to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Its programme runs throughout the year, and visitors can also attend guided tours and exhibitions.

The programme currently lists an International ComposerFestival featuring Betsy Jolas from 5 to 8 November. Jolas is described as 100 years old, and as someone who knew James Joyce, met Igor Stravinsky and studied with Olivier Messiaen. On Tuesday 10 November at 20.00, organist Johannes Skoog and jazz pianist Joel Lyssarides are scheduled to perform in an Organ Evenings concert bringing classical and contemporary music together.

The building dates from 1926. Architect Ivar Tengbom designed it in the neoclassical style as a classical temple to music. Carl Milles and Isaac Grünewald are among the artists who contributed to its decoration, which draws on ancient mythology. The hall is also known for hosting the Nobel Prize ceremony.

For people aged 26 or younger, the Blue Pass offers a choice of five concerts over a year for SEK 250 (about US$23.5 or £18.8). The venue’s Konserthuset Play service offers music to listen to for free, as well as films for children. The listed concert information gives a start time for the 10 November event, but no duration.
