Folkoperan’s programme includes opera, music from other genres and guest performances. “Vem fan gillar opera?”, a new opera drama by Bahar Pars about a young woman named Aisha, is listed through 22 November. The Foajé series of musical meetings is listed through 26 November. On 7 November, the programme lists “Drömmarnas ö”, an interactive music performance for children on the autism spectrum. Folkoperan Talang and a semi-staged production of Puccini’s “La Bohème” are listed for 9 November.

Later dates include a Christmas show, “A Christmas Carol”, performed in English from 3 to 20 December, and a New Year’s Eve gala on 30 and 31 December. The venue’s website says food and drink are available at Bar Central alongside an opera visit. Visit Stockholm describes the adjoining Folkbaren as a place for a glass of cava, small dishes or an opera menu. It also says the venue occupies a former premiere cinema dating from the 1920s, with balconies overlooking the lobby.

The material gives no ticket prices or typical visit length. Check the programme for the performance you want to attend; dates and productions vary.
