The Wonder of Colours presents the Gothenburg Colourists through paintings by Ivan Ivarson, Ragnar Sandberg, Inge Schiöler, Åke Göransson and Märta Taube-Ivarson, alongside works by artists who came before and after them. Visit Stockholm describes the group as beloved and the exhibition as an extensive presentation. Visitors can see both works described as iconic masterpieces and pieces rarely shown. The listing says the paintings use vivid colour, with brushstrokes that carry rhythm, emotion and life. The exhibition was produced in collaboration with the Gothenburg Museum of Art.
Waldemarsudde displays a selection of Prince Eugen’s own art and works from its collection throughout the year. Its collection includes painting, sculpture and applied arts, with Swedish, other Nordic and French artists, as well as international artists such as Edvard Munch and Auguste Rodin. The exhibition brings the Gothenburg Colourists into a museum that also presents works from this broader collection.
