The Vasa Walk is a free interactive audio route through places connected to the Vasa ship’s short history. It starts outside the Vasa Museum, continues through Djurgården and ends on Beckholmen. Using GPS and spatial audio, the walk guides listeners through the route, with sound, music and visual elements accompanying the story. It covers the ship’s sinking in 1628, its salvage in 1961, and the work to preserve and display it. The route is described as about 4,000 steps and roughly 60 minutes. It offers visitors interested in Swedish history a way to hear about the Vasa at the places where its story unfolded. The walk is part of the Support Vasa project. It is listed from 23 October 2026 to 31 December 2027, so it is running now and is scheduled to continue into next year.
