The Economy Lab is an interactive exhibition about everyday economics and how money works in daily life. It is designed for school pupils from middle school to upper secondary, and for families exploring the subject together.
The exhibition is organised around households, companies, banks and the public sector, showing how people affect and are affected by the economic system. Visitors can use interactive stations, watch films, consider dilemma questions and try practical exercises. Topics include what tax money should fund and how buying choices affect the climate. One station compares the cost and carbon footprint of familiar goods and points to more environmentally friendly alternatives; another section covers linear and circular economies.
The banking theme looks at savings accounts, funds, shares and common reasons for borrowing, as well as the advantages and risks of different ways to save and invest. The activities bring everyday decisions into focus, from managing money to weighing their wider effects.
