After Hours turns selected Wednesdays at Artipelag into evenings of art, live music, food and drinks in the Stockholm archipelago. The programme continues through 25 November. The quartet draws on the Swedish jazz tradition, interpreting jazz classics and playing its own melodic music.

The event page’s package includes entry to the exhibition Inner Child, Playing with Design. At Bådan, visitors can order food such as charcuterie, smoked prawns with aioli and sourdough, olives and crisps. The evening is intended for meeting friends or colleagues, with an exhibition, food and music at the same venue. A direct bus links central Stockholm with Artipelag, making the event an option for visitors who want to combine an evening out with a trip to the archipelago.

INNER CHILD – Playing with Design

23 Oct to 11 Apr · Artipelag

What happens when we dare to see the world through the curious eyes of a child? Artipelag presents a unique design exhibition exploring the inner child as a source of creativity, hope, and the joy of making. Created exclusively for Artipelag by Lidewij Edelkoort and Philip Fimmano, the exhibition brings together the work of one hundred designers and artists in an inspiring narrative about playfulness, imagination, and the human need to create with our hands.

Carve an object with character

to 20:30 · Artipelag

As part of the exhibition INNER CHILD – Playing with Design, Artipelag invites you to a woodcarving workshop with cabinetmaker and woodcarver Moa Brännström Ott. Discover the basics of whittling and transform a piece of wood into something of your own – perhaps a spoon, a butter knife or something entirely different. Inspired by INNER CHILD, the workshop is as much about daring to experiment, play and follow your curiosity as it is about craftsmanship. No previous experience is required.
