Ohsabanan is a 14.5-kilometre narrow-gauge railway east of Värnamo, run by Ohs Bruks Järnvägs Museiförening. The volunteer association was formed on 31 May 1970 to preserve and operate the line. The railway lists a programme for 2026.

The train passes through Småland woodland, by small lakes and meadows. Period trains are hauled by steam locomotives dating from the early 1900s. The railway association says the line has Sweden’s steepest gradients on a railway. A motor locomotive may replace a steam locomotive if there is a mechanical failure or a fire risk.

At Gimarp station, an event area and meeting place has toilets and a serving room. Visitors can use the playgrounds, stop at Jernvägscaféet, visit Bruksmuséet and look at the vehicles in the engine sheds. The association also says visitors can order a train of their own.

The railway’s 2026 programme is available online; check it for trip dates before setting out.
