Alpackagården is in the Småland forest between Ljungby and Halmstad. Its alpaca park has around 50 animals. Visitors can learn about them on a quiz trail or book a walk to meet the alpacas up close. Visit Sweden also describes guided tours and a playground.

The café offers waffles, ice cream and coffee, with seating inside the farm shop or on an outdoor terrace. The shop sells souvenirs from Småland and the Andes, along with wool and yarn from the farm’s alpacas and knitted clothes. Visit Sweden says visits between April and August may include newborn alpacas, called crias, making that the window to plan around for a chance to see them.

The farm has motorhome pitches for up to 10 vehicles. A pitch costs 200 SEK per day (about $19.0/£15.0), including access to the park, fresh-water filling and septic-tank emptying. Electricity costs an extra 50 SEK (about $4.75/£3.75). Stönjasjön and Lake Bolmen are within cycling distance. Lidhult has an ICA Nära grocery store and a building-supplies shop.
