Halland Museum of Cultural History presents traces of everyday life and celebrations, work and dreams in Halland. Its exhibition, “Halland berättar, spår från tusentals år” (“Halland tells its story: traces from thousands of years”), follows the region’s history through these themes.

The Bocksten Man is a central subject. His remains were found in Bocksten bog, east of Varberg, in 1936. The museum describes the find as one of the world’s most important medieval discoveries.

The museum website lists a guided storytelling walk in the dark, described as mildly spooky, as well as “Insikt och soppa”, a series of talks on cultural history at Kafé Längan. It also offers guided visits and programmes for pupils from preschool class through upper secondary school, for adapted schools and for adult education.
