Wine Mechanics is a winery pub in Gothenburg’s Gamlestaden district. The grapes used for its wines come from Pfalz in Germany and Northern Rhône in France. Wine Mechanics transports them directly to the winery in refrigerated trucks. They arrive about 48 hours after picking, and the work of crushing, squeezing and fermenting them into white, red and pink wines begins. All of the wines are vegan. The winery stage starts close to the harvest: grapes travel in refrigerated trucks straight from the source regions to the Gothenburg site.

A visit can be for a glass of locally produced wine, or for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch at the pub. The kitchen takes inspiration from Seattle and Portland, as well as Gothenburg’s fishing port. Its food offering includes a locally sourced oyster bar and a wide range of charcuteries. The winery is in the Slaughterhouse area, a setting the source connects with its charcuterie selection. The material gives no prices or service hours.
