Stefan Karlsson’s SK Mat & Människor serves food and drink rooted in Swedish food and taste traditions. Classic influences meet modern techniques and a contemporary expression. The menu has around ten dishes, changing with the season and the availability of ingredients. Guests can choose a four-course or six-course menu, alongside carefully selected drink packages designed to complement each serving. Ingredients from the Gothenburg area are a focus, giving the menu a local base.

Cooking takes place in the middle of the dining room, in an open kitchen without walls. Guests are in close contact with the chefs as they work. The restaurant has a star in the Michelin Guide. Karlsson says the experience should feel simple, joyful and personal, an aim that informs the restaurant as a whole. The meal draws on Swedish ingredients and traditions, while modern techniques shape how they are prepared. The seasonal menu means dishes change as ingredients become available. Diners can select either four or six courses, with drink packages chosen to match the servings.
