Radiomuseet in Gothenburg follows radio and related technology across sections on broadcasting, television, ship and coastal radio, military radio, car radio, mobile phones, measuring equipment and components. The broadcasting displays include equipment from the early 1900s to the 1960s, alongside some modern equipment. Visitors can listen to a medium-wave transmission through a 1920 crystal receiver, as well as digital radio technology.

Marine-radio displays trace ship radio from spark transmitters to satellite receivers. The amateur-radio section pairs hand-built sets from the 1920s with current equipment. The museum also operates transmitter SK6RM, which it says can reach the whole world. A military-radio display includes portable sets weighing about 16 kilograms, powered by electricity generated by pedalling. The mobile-phone section runs from early taxi, transport and police telephones to modern mobile telephony. Measuring instruments show changes over the decades. The displays offer a way to compare equipment across different periods and uses.
