Masthuggskyrkan stands high on Stigberget and was completed in 1914. Architect Sigfrid Ericson designed it; its national romantic architecture and elevated position make it part of Gothenburg’s skyline. Visit Sweden describes views from the church over the harbour entrance, the river, rooftops and the western parts of the city.

Visitors can sit inside, light a candle or look around the church. The church also invites visitors to explore outside. An audio guide covers its history and interior, and groups can book a guided tour. The organ was built in 1914 and is the largest in the Diocese of Gothenburg.

The church is open every day, year-round. Posted hours are 10:00 to 14:00 on Thursdays and 10:00 to 16:00 on other days. Sunday service is at 11:00. The church page does not give an admission price for a general visit; concerts have free admission. The church has a ramp, a hearing loop and an accessible toilet.
