Stråsjöleden is a feeder route to Helgonleden. The website describes it as generally easy to walk because it follows existing small roads where possible. Along the route are the Norrland coast, known here as Jungfrukusten, large red-painted Hälsingland farmhouses, deep forests and lakes that reflect the colours of the blue mountains.

The site presents pilgrimage as a chance to reflect, gain perspective and consider identity and life’s meaning. It says the time spent walking matters more than the distance covered. Pilgrims may walk alone or join arranged walks. The seven guiding words are simplicity, slowness, silence, sharing, freedom, spirituality and carefreeness.

Helgonleden, which Stråsjöleden joins, can be walked between Trondheim and Uppsala in either direction. The route page links to digital maps in Paxwalk, which visitors can use when planning their walk.
