Snowboard Star Dies in Avalanche Accident

The Swiss snowboarder Sophie Hediger has died in an avalanche accident in the Swiss Alps, according to the Swiss Ski Federation. Hediger, who competed in snowboardcross at the 2022 Olympic Games, was 26 years old.
