After the leak in the Baltic Sea: Record-large methane emission
Methane emissions from the Nord Stream pipelines in 2022 were the largest ever measured in a single event. Thousands of tons dissolved in the water and spread in the Baltic Sea. It affected all the way from Denmark in the west to Poland in the east, says researcher Martin Mohrmann.
