Russian plague researcher dies of unknown infection as pneumonic plague is suspected
A laboratory worker who researched plague in Siberia has died of an “unknown infection.” According to reports, it may be pneumonic plague, which can spread between people but requires close contact, says Klara Sondén at the Swedish Public Health Agency.
