Proposal: Should be allowed to secretly intercept children at home
The police should be allowed to use secret coercive measures against children under 15 years old, proposes the government's investigator. Wiretapping and surveillance should be possible in cases of suspected crimes such as murder, serious weapons offenses and terrorist offenses.
Heavy No to Stricter Sentences for Young People
The government wants young people between 15 and 17 years old to be able to be sentenced to harsher penalties. But many are critical of the proposal that has been put forward, and prosecutors want the government to consider a completely different solution.
Investigator proposes reduced sentence discount for young offenders
The Government's inquiry proposes a reduced sentence discount for 15-17-year-olds. This could mean significantly longer sentences for example for murder when youth prisons are introduced.
