Antonio Lutula
The Swedish Swimming Federation extends with Olympic gold coach
After Sarah Sjöström's double Olympic Games gold in Paris, the contract with the national team management is extended. National team captain Martina Aronsson and Sjöström's coach Antonio Lutula have signed for 2+2 years.
Sjöström's highs under 16 years
The breakthrough came in 2008 when she took the European Championship gold as a 14-year-old. Just over 16 years later, the swim queen Sarah Sjöström advanced in majestic style to an Olympic Games gold double with her victory on the 50 meter freestyle.
Coleman's tearful farewell – missed the final
With seven hundredths of a second, Michelle Coleman missed the Olympic Games final on 50 meters freestyle. In what was probably her last Olympic Games appearance.
The successful coach: "She can win gold every time"
The coach Antonio Lutula didn't dare to believe it. But a magical evening in Le Défence Arena had him standing there, talking extensively about the phenomenon Sarah Sjöström.
"Unbelievably amazing"
She had taken six medals in the 100 meter freestyle at the Olympic Games and World Championship – but never a gold. Now the bullseye came.
Sjöström: "I was so damn unmotivated"
Tired, worn out and unmotivated. This winter morning in 2022 felt anything but good for Sarah Sjöström.
