Oskar Kardin wins the men's class in Vasaloppet. The Swede finished in 4:14:45.5. "It feels unreal. It's great fun, damn it. I've been training for this for a long time. You get moved," says Kardin in SVT. Alvar Myhlback came in second.
SportsThe men's 5000m at the Olympics will be decided without Alvar Myhlback, 19 - who has declined the offer to be a reserve. We have spoken to Alvar, yes. But he is in full Vasalopp mode, says national team manager Anders Byström.
SportsSweden is having difficulty putting together a men's team for the final Olympic five-mile race. Does that open the way for an emergency call to Alvar Myhlback? Not according to Myhlback's team manager at Lager 157. "It's not an option," Anton Järnberg told SVT.
SportsThere will be no relay or 5,000m for skiing talent Alvar Myhlback at the Olympics. He - along with Anton Grahn and Johanna Hagström - is leaving Italy, the Swedish team management says.
SportsAlvar Myhlback will miss the opening weekend of the long-distance race. A cold puts an end to it, according to SVT.
Sports"A lot about Alvar Myhlback reminds me of Stina Nilsson. The long-distance stars both like to go their own way. I think he's so cool that he has the courage to do what he wants," says Nilsson ahead of this weekend's premiere.
