New Billion-Dollar Bid for 7-Eleven Store Owner

Canadian Couche-Tard is making a new attempt to acquire Japanese Seven & I Holdings, owner of, among other things, 7-Eleven stores. The company has now raised its previous bid of 40 billion dollars to over 47 billion dollars and is said to have notified the Japanese company's board of directors three weeks ago.
