National Mourning in Portugal After Lisbon Cable Car Tragedy
It is one of Portugal's most famous tourist attractions. But on Wednesday evening, the Glória funicular became a death trap. At least 16 people were killed when one of the cars ran amok and crashed at the square below. Thursday was a national day of mourning and all of Lisbon's funiculars have been stopped and are undergoing extra safety checks.
