Västerbotten, results from some of today’s traffic controls.
On county road 365 in Rusksele, Lycksele Municipality, traffic controls were carried out, including checks for sobriety. A driver who was checked had a revoked driving licence, and suspicion of gross unlawful driving arose. A report will be filed.
On the E4 near Sävar, Umeå Municipality, a taxi was stopped and checked. As the vehicle was being driven at 110 kilometres per hour in a 70 zone, a fine of 4000 kronor was issued, and the driver’s licence and taxi licence were seized.
On the E4 in the area of Byske, Skellefteå Municipality, a penalty notice of 2000 kronor was issued to a driver who had not kept an adequate distance from the vehicle in front.
No remarks were noted during the check carried out on county road 814 at Lund, Skellefteå Municipality.
Police checked a passenger car on county road 642 at Nydala, Umeå. A penalty notice of 1200 kronor was issued because the driver had driven at dusk without having the low-beam headlights on.
