The police have decided to initiate rescue services in accordance with the Act on Protection against Accidents (LSO) due to a missing elderly man in Vetlanda.

Police have searched for the man in the afternoon with a larger number of resources with different competencies.

Among other things, helicopters, tracking dogs, and drones have been used in the search operation.

The operation is ongoing in a forest area northeast of Vetlanda.
