A threatening and aggressive man was moving around in Luthagen and the police were called to the scene. The threatening man was perceived as disoriented.
Few police patrols went to the address and located the person.
When contacted by the man, it turned out that he did not comply with the police officer's instruction to release a knife he was carrying. The man was suspected of gross illegal threats.
Police experienced the situation as threatening and fired warning shots and actual ammunition at the suspect's leg to be able to apprehend him. The suspect was injured in his leg during the intervention and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The location of the incident is cordoned off and the police are taking all necessary measures that should be taken when service weapons have been used in an intervention.
The suspected man has not suffered life-threatening injuries after the incident.
