Staff at a LSS residence in Gävle contact the police due to one of the residents, a man in his 30s, having left the residence.

After a shorter search operation, the man is found in the vicinity of the residence.

In connection with the man being returned to the staff, he becomes violent and hits one of the police officers in the face. The man is therefore arrested on suspicion of assault on a public official and is later detained after a decision by the prosecutor.

The police officer who received a blow from the man must visit the hospital with unclear injuries.
