Police were called to a residence in Eda municipality where a woman was reported to be injured.

When police arrived, it was established that the woman, who is in her 30s, had visible injuries but not life-threatening. The investigation measures on site led to a man being arrested as a suspect for allegedly assaulting the woman. The charge is severe assault.

An ambulance was called and the woman is being transported to the hospital. The residence has been cordoned off to enable a technical investigation to be conducted.

After the interrogation, the prosecutor will take a stance on whether the man should be detained or released during the ongoing investigation.
