The hours of 00-07, three people have been taken into custody for intoxication. The police have also carried out a number of checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of crime.

02:35 Drograttfylleri, Östersund
The police stop and check a car in Östersund whose driver is suspected of being under the influence of narcotics. A blood test is performed and an interrogation is held. The result of the blood test will show if a crime has been committed. A report regarding suspected drunk driving and minor narcotics offense, personal use, will be drawn up.

Three wildlife accidents have been reported to the police during the night and morning. There are no reports of personal injuries.

During the evening and night before National Day, student celebrations took place in Östersund. After a rainy afternoon, the clouds cleared up and there was good weather for the evening and night.

There was a large number of students and young people in circulation in the central parts of the city, with a special focus on the town hall steps at midnight where a traditional concert took place.

The police had a good resource on site and handled both disorderly conduct, intoxicated people taken into custody, crimes against the alcohol laws, an assault, as well as various confiscations and fines that were distributed. The work to contribute to creating a sense of security and good atmosphere has worked well.
